We successfully completed the first week of class! Way to go!

Here we have some super important reminders, so please read this thoroughly!

Today, September 2, is the last day to ADD/DROP fall courses.
If you have holds on your account that prevent registration, you can DROP a class by emailing register@odu.edu before 11:59pm, tonight, with the request to drop. Include your name, UIN, the subject/course number and CRN for the course.
In the upcoming weeks, we will have first-year group advising sessions to discuss any issues/concerns and how things are going so far. Be on the lookout for an email with instructions on how to sign up for your freshman pre-advising groups!

In the meantime, keep attending class and staying on top of your assignments. We know getting used to the work load can be an adjustment so reach out to professors, attend tutoring sessions, and use our academic resources as soon as possible. Typical classes will have material build on itself as the semester goes on so get help early to build a firm foundation.

We recommend spending at least two hours on your studies for every hour of class time, although we acknowledge that some classes may require more time, while others may require less. Take additional time to study and do a little more to make sure that you understand the information.
